IPRANSW General Meeting Next Wednesday Night

Post Number:#1  Postby TwinTurbo » Mon Jul 30, 2018 7:33 am

There we will be a General Meeting of IPRANSW at 8 pm next Wednesday night at the Arena Sports Club,140 Rookwood Road Yagoona. Lots of items on the agenda including next year’s calendar. Come along, share your views and have some input. It would be great to get a strong turnout from our members to give feedback on potential ideas for 2019.
Some ideas include:
•Dropping back from 6 CAMS State rounds, perhaps adding more ‘club’ meetings
•Combine Grids for some number of rounds
•One day meetings
•Blendline TV support of selected rounds
•Brabham circuit options
•Ways to improve the atmosphere at race meetings
•Any other ideas that members have
Cheers

Any updates on tonight’s meeting?

Any more entries for nationals?

Combined grids to attract interstate and local competitors back?

Nice one Bruce, asking the question before we even finished

Lots of great suggestions and requests from the large number of competitors who attended, thanks to all for contributing =D> =D> =D>
I'm sure the Committee will spend the next week or so distilling down the many pages of notes taken. Then come up with a set of proposals for next years calendar and events surrounding it. The National Administrator was also in attendance and with the IPRAA Delegates meeting on in couple of weeks there are some items that will appear on its agenda as well.

In summary, great progress and watch this space, well not actually this space as I'm sure it will command its own thread.

Cheers

The meeting was great and i am glad i spent > 5 hrs on the road to be present. The committee did a great job of explaining the goals of the meeting and listening to everyone and their views. Well done to the IPRA NSW committee =D> =D> =D> . I feel it was a healthy meeting and am confident the IPRA NSW committee will use all the information provided to them and I am excited to see what 2019 could look like for IPRA NSW.

I don't know if anyone went home and entered the Nationals  , but the event was promoted in the meeting and IPRA SA was given praise for the awesome efforts they have put in to make it a great event for IPRA. Hopefully we do get some more NSW entries!

There was a lot of open discussion about the pros & cons on Combined grids, including the history of why and the future possibilities. This was not the only point around improving IP in NSW and was accompanied with ideas from competitors, and the committee, on other features/attractions/issues at race meetings for the NSW club rounds.

Hopefully when the committee release any concepts or plans for 2019 that you, and plenty of others, will want to come play in NSW again :D

A bit ridiculous in this day and age you have to drive 3 hours to attend a meeting.... Good to hear that the outcome seems to be positive. IP needs help. Hope it isn't too late

I did want to be there in person for this important meeting. Joseph and Ryan both said I could call in of a conference session, but it isn't the same. I think they should adopt Skype with AV though for anyone that wants to virtually be there.

I felt it was a very positive meeting.
