Re: What's Hapenning with the U1600 Class?

I've just done my first ever ipra meeting recently at Phillip Island, and in a under 1600cc corolla with a 4age. I had an absolute ball, and to race with cars with larger capacity than mine, used about 40lts fuel and my 5 year old ao50s do fine as the car is just so easy on tyres. Racing can't get ...

Re: IPRANSW Round 2 2019 - Wakefield Park

At the close of entries tonight it appears that we have 19 Under's and 17 Over's which is a great entry = 36 IP cars at Wakefield.

I believe is the largest IP field for many years. =D> =D> =D>

Final entries for round 2 close today.

If you have not entered please do so, As of the 16th May there was 17 Under's and 17 Over's making this the largest entry number for an IP race at Wakefield for well over 2 years.

Well done to those that are supporting the event. =D> =D> =D>

Re: What's Hapenning with the U1600 Class?

Anyway, it's a bit academic when there are so few runners. Someone should tell a few of the Excel guys they could be state IPRA champion if they just turn up to every race meeting (if said state gives out a trophy for U1600). NSW does, I have a couple of them including a National's U 1600 win. :D :...

Re: What's Hapenning with the U1600 Class?

Good point, where have all the U1600 cars? There was 2 at NSW Round 1,#127 Toyota Corolla and #19 Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg. I am sure for a lot of people running U1600 cars in a field with cars up to 6.2 litres is not the most ideal situation. I have been there and done it and it can be very frustra...

Yep disappointing, hope that Harrison can make it. Bathurst was VERY hard on a lot of NSW cars.

Re: IPRANSW Rnd 1 SMSP April 6/7th 2019 - entries open

[/quote] Well I was going to leave it... what "other concerns" did the committee make this decision on then? The problem is the separation of unders and overs. I want us as one IP grid, and so did the majority of people at the club meeting last year when this it was asked of the competitors what we ...

Re: IPRANSW Rnd 1 SMSP April 6/7th 2019 - entries open

Ok, I will leave it be as the decision is made and the revised schedule from the original one is done. It totally looks like the unders wanted their own quali sesion and had nothing to do with safety for the new to IP compitors, plus your side stepping around my raised points supports that theory. ...

Re: IPRANSW Rnd 1 SMSP April 6/7th 2019 - entries open

If the committee made this decision it should be documented that the vote took place and the reasoning, then shared with its members. If every decision that needs to be made has to go the membership, NOTHING will ever get done. It takes long enough to get the committee to decide and work things out...

Re: IPRANSW Rnd 1 SMSP April 6/7th 2019 - entries open

We have 10 new competitors to IP, some of which it is there first race meeting, and this decision was made to offer a safe environment for all our members. As previously stated 20 seconds a lap difference with potential 50+ KPH speed difference while trying to do a hot lap on a crowded circuit is no...

Re: IPRANSW Rnd 1 SMSP April 6/7th 2019 - entries open

So I see we lost 5 mins of race time to split the qualifying grid between unders and overs? Why? That is just not on, a terrible decision. Qualifying separate doesn't make any sense at all, nevermind with a penalty of missing 5 mins of race time........ Am still super pumped for this massive meetin...
