I would say the quick answer as to why he wouldn't is that he would drop around 200 peak HP Steve.

Re: IPRA The future in Australian Motorsport

So Gary with camber in your opinion what are optimal - no change in camber through bump? Clearly toe change needs to be minimized as much as possible Personally I always start off aiming for zero bump steer over the full travel, or as close to zero as possible. With the camber in the most common st...

Re: IPRA The future in Australian Motorsport

To the Wise men of IPRA. There is nothing wrong with the V8s, A few years ago us LMT guys copped a flogiing for trying to change the rules, The wise men told us to build the right car for the rules not change the rules to suit the cars. Thanks for the great advise as that's exactly what we did, We ...

Re: New Cars In The Build

Certainly takes away that "Hey look at that locally sold car racing around the track, just like the one I have in the car park". Isn't that how this class originally started ie: Club Cars. Anyway, the way we support our Aussie cars, they will be all imports soon. Improved Production started as the ...

Re: island Magic E21 weapon

Porsche, Benz, BMW, Datsun, and rather late in the day Holden, all used the same style of Semi IRS and in the case of BMW(M3) and Porsche (2.7RS etc) they had race variants with geometry better suited to wide, flat tyres. The rules relating to IRS give substantial freedom to re configure as required...

Re: E30 IP car hillclimb video

What was Rob's time on that run Alan?

Pretty casual safety day; the driver is not wearing gloves...
The chicane must have made the place 100% safe.

I must have done a hundred runs up that old Golden Mile on various dirt bikes and my 810 Honda 750 K2 when I lived up there.

The PI Muscle Car Masters lap record has come down another couple of seconds; taken by the Charger suprise package. Re: Mazda LSD Side Gears Available

Hi Sean, I was wondering if the mazda lsd would be able to take the torque of a turbo 4. The LSD's seem to cope adequately with the torque from a rotary multiplied by the gearbox and final drive. The driven plates- the ones that engage with the side gears- can take a beating and be a fail point if ...
