There are two skins installed, the prosilver is the new layout and there is a SubSilver that look pretty close to the old look and feel. You can change it under the User Control Panel under Board Preferences, "My Board Style"

Give that a go and see if you like it. Unfortunately changing a simple thing like where the user name is displayed is a little too much effort for my liking (I am lazy remember).

Just a silly question, but why is it when there are new posts in a topic is the bit on the right some times red on a whitish background and some times it is red on a yellow highlighted back ground?

It'll be because of either amount of replies to a thread, or because of amount of views of a thread. ie is it a 'hot' thread or not.

I love the new visual - looking more and more like my Apple's native environment every day. Just an observation that people are recognising the superiority of the MAC GUI...

Dave,
I don't know whether I had a "man" look, but there is no next post/previous post button at the top and bottom of the page like in the old forum. If I am wrong you can call me a dim-wit again and I will go and hide in the corner.

Hey I just noticed we have a few new smilies too.....I think this one will gat a bit of a workout :-({|= , and this one ](*,)

I've been looking for a MOD but there doesn't seem to be one out yet for the next/previous post button. I'll keep my eyes open (and if anyone else spots one for v3, send me a link)

Re the new Version.
Has anyone else been unable to highlight or 'select' to drag for repositioning sentences?
It starts but will only highlight the first word or letter sometimes and I have not been able to do a full sentence or paragraph.
Am I missing on technique perhaps?
Cheers

Fish,

Well I think I have managed to get it right. There was one slight bug when users were online at the same time as you (it displayed the online on the LHS over the top of the text) but I think I fixed that one now.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Seems to be working OK for me Momus, what browser and OS are you using?

rdmdog wrote:Looks OK Dave, but the scrolling new post structure was a good thing, if it can't return then some kind of static new post page, similar to that found on some other forums (Cough 10 10ths Cough) is a good way to see what topics/posts are active.

Cheers

Oh, and Merry Christmas!! :D
I think I found the way that shows the newest threads for a simple fella like me,

either the "View Active Topics" or "View New Posts" works well!

Is there any chance of the links to the Board Index and I guess you would call them chapters (?) be repeated at the bottom of the page so we don't have to scroll up the top to go back to the Index ect.

Just a thought, I would harte to get RSI of the mouse scrolling button

New format is settling in well though, well done Dave!!
