Its like claiming updates to Homoligation is not eligible. Manufacturers update models and Homoligation Extensions.
A9X was an extension on the SLR500 as was the Fox Mustang bodywork updates over its production years. 5/1ET.

How can IP allow people in control of the class to use their positions to serve their own self interests? Inc impacting new logbooks etc?
Hard to avoid self interests with volunteers I know but we must try.
It’s completely unacceptable for parties with self servicing prejudices to be delaying the issuing of log books based on false manufactured excuses. Just because someone doesn’t like the judge’s verdict doesn’t mean that they can continue with their vendetta. You do no service to yourself or Improved Production.

I thought I should emphasise that this is a POLL it is NOT A VOTE in that it has no implications in regards to regulations changes. For the IP regulations to be changed the actually wording of the suggested revised regulation has to be provided and discussed before a vote can be taken. Which is subsequently communicated via the Delegates
It is basically a 'vote'. The members must get what the majority of members want. No 1, 2, or 3 people are god. The revised regulation's, if any, is just a matter of process and formality after the poll has been decided.
Here's the problem as I see it, if there is, say, a "no" vote for "aftermarket" engine blocks then some will take that as approval to ban engine blocks that are not really "aftermarket" blocks. For example the Boss302 IS NOT AN AFTERMARKET ENGINE BLOCK, neither is the JDM HONDA K20A or the JDM NISSAN SR20VE etc etc all of which are commonly used in IP. That's why the actual wording of the regulations should be provided before any actual voting is done.

any chance of actually answering the questions with actual details, rather than allude to stuff without providing any details.

who is holding back with logbooks for what reasons. If you are going to claim it, you need to be able to back it up.

If you wanted that detail then maybe you should have asked the questions needed to achieve that objective. I answered the question that was asked, it’s hardly logical to expect answers to questions that weren’t asked.

I passed on my concerns to our delegate as did many others, the delegates’ (pleural) concerns seem to have been ignored. Since at least 2 other States had reason to not vote for the pole as it was sent out, hence a 4 to 3 vote. Hardly a ringing endorsement since the 3 States represent more than 50% of IPRA members.

Jamie you are inside Motorsport Australia, how about you call your WA office and ask who was the “official” who tried to stop a log book being issued with a plainly false claim.

I extend the invitation again, call me anytime.

Cheers

I am specifically talking about your log book issue. that one I would like to understand.

On the topic of the poll, your lack of understanding of this issue has been very challenging to read. As I have said to you before, please call if you dont really understand the issue, which you have decided not to do, yet kept on posting.

regards,

The thread has taken some twists and turns as we would expect it to do.

IMHO it is great to see that we have members passionate about our niche (IPRA) of car racing.

No doubt it was in the fine print, but for some lazy people like me are we/when will we see any sort of indication as to the outcome of the survey (or we don't and it is just general info for IPRA AUS?)

Not meant to be a crack at anyone, please don't take it as such.

I am just interested to see what the majority of members have indicated their preferences (so I can pay my deposit on the CNC Billet Block from Cheena, cough, China)

Cheers guys (and girls)
