Congrats to ray great drive, I'm a bit Toyota bias but awesome driving from Forrest must have grown a third nut to drop 2 seconds in the last race with a 2.26.38 . Also well done to wood berry with 4th place that's one quick magna!
Cheers

Also a HUGE thanks to not just Garry but Peter and John Street for the fantastic way in which the event was run. The streets putting in their time to help out Garry with running the category. I think gaz was a bit preoccupied with 12hour stuff. =D> =D>

That Toyota Celica time might be the fastest non Hislop lap ever by an IP car at Bathurst: 2 seconds or so quicker than the next best BIG V8.

Rick Newman, in another BIG V8 Windsor Falcon, wishbone front/IRS (or perhaps beam) rear is down at a 2.28.59 in 2008

Fantastic effort by the yellow rocket's driver that goes like hell to show what we know about turbos.....

From my vantage point here in Coburg it's that the second placed 4 cylinder restricted turbo Toyota has thoroughly and consistently kicked the arses of at least 9 LS/308/Gen 2 Chev powered Commodores.

So much for the furphy that the 36 mm restricted turbo cars cannot be competitive against The Big V8's.

you are a f*&^%$ tool
That and more!!!!

Rays car just keeps getting better, as does Ray! :)

A good show from the IP racers! Well done to all.

Beam
Rick was 5000cc in those days, so mid-size V8, not to mention A048's

Magna was great - I somehow think Woodberry is no longer running the standard 380 motor that use to be in it!
Contrary to popular opinion, I do have mechanical sympathy, I always feel sorry for the cars I drive.

Just a quick thank you to all IP competitors, an EO's job is so easy when the cars are so well prepared and everyone is so cooperative. A few minor items that I could help the guys with, nothing scary. Big thanks to the Scrutineers, they make the job even easier. =D> =D> =D>

Quick shout out to Kelvin, we are thinking of you mate.

Cheers
